The 250th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is now open and this weekend 30 June - 1st July, is a good time to visit as it's  Mayfair Art Weekend featuring an extensive programme of exhibitions, events, talks and tours.

If you are unable to visit the Royal Academy before the show closes on 19th August you can view the exhibition and buy works at the Royal Academy Art Sales shop online.

The works in the Summer Exhibition are selected and hung by Royal Academicians this year coordinated by Grayson Perry. Tom Phillips was one of the members on the hanging committee and with Allen Jones, selected and hung the works in the Lecture Room. Two new letter paintings by Tom Phillips can be seen in Gallery III and four new editions from A Humument are in the dedicated print area of the exhibition in the Sackler Galleries.
