Words and Music has a January 1975 release date although the cover clearly states “LXXIV”. The pressing was limited to 500 copies. Side A comprises recordings of Phillips’ compositions (including an extract from IRMA) performed by Jill Phillips, John Tibury, Laurie Baker, Morray Walsh and the composer. On the B-side TP reads extracts from A Humument, samples of which are also incorporated into the sleeve art. The directness of the title complements the Phillips monographs, Works Texts to 74 and Works and Texts (1992). JC
